Please join the Greenbelt Guardians as we come out of hibernation and resume our ongoing stewardship of the Barton Creek Greenbelt with a workday at the Gus Fruh access.
We'll be doing maintenance along the switchback entry trail including some surface repairs, trimming, fence repair, cleaning out drainage features, and repairs to steps (rock work). Possibly also the removal of some invasive plants. We'll also pick up trash, remove any graffiti in the area, and just generally clean things up.
Kids are welcome, but younger ones will need to bring a parent along with them. We'll provide the team leaders and tools needed for all of the work. Please bring a water bottle, a pair of work gloves (if you have them), and wear closed-toe shoes. Long pants and long sleeves will also help to protect against poison ivy.
Registration is now open on the Austin Parks Foundatation's GivePulse site here. Projects are limited to 25 participants, so please sign up soon to secure a spot.
